The new Forum deserves its own picture thread.
My only ski related injury was pretty weak, a hairline fracture on ball of the humerus (sp?)

One split lip ... badge of courage
6 external and 2 internal stitches ... $700
Having your pic posted on biglines so the world can see you're a gaper ... Priceless.

No stitches or broken bones, knock on wood, just some bruising. Ass over teacups to hip, no good.

Oh and Arty, priceless. Nice matching neck gator, BTW, way to plan ahead.

Another leg shot from AG. She's systematically showing everything, just in small bits at a time. What a tease!

Bwahahahahaha!!!! It was the perfect color, I bled all over that sucker and you couldn't even tell. I still washed it though. My jacket was red too luckily.

Heh.

The coolest thing about that injury was that I didn't have a cast, just a traction splint. So after washing down a pill with a few brews, I would take my arm out of the splint and freak out my friends by clacking the two ends of the bone together. Now that was humerus.

Had a ski pop off and slice through my quad a few years back. Enjoy!

Here's the nurse injecting novacaine (sp?), a process that took about 25 minutes.

Suturing.

One month of immobilization and 6 months of pt later, I was as good as new.

Indeed, but....wtf...JONG! Nice pics  . It's amazing what a runaway ski can do. I watched a buddy of mine's nose get sliced 7/8 off by a flying ski. Pretty scarry.

My wrist pics can't hang with those blood pics. :nonono2:

I'm going skiing tomorrow, with my wrist is a brace. It's 2 1/2 weeks. Time to test it out.

Good to see that I'm not the only gimp around.

The knee pics were back in '01.

I'm lying around on my couch now with one wheel in a cast. Managed to break my fibula inside a tele boot. Who'da thought that an ankle could break in a ski boot?
