Now that Brighton has officially announced that some decent terrain will be open Friday (Snake Creek), who's interested in hitting it up?
I'm personally not too excited to be up there on their official opener Thursday given that only the bunny hill and a double serving only 800' vertical will be available.

I'd go if they weren't charging 35 bucks for such limited terrain. Besides by the time I could get there it would all be skied out. Oh and I don't have $35 anyway. Despite that if there's gonna be a big maggot showing then I might show.

debating... I have to pick MrAG at the airport but don't know what time yet.
Anyone know what half day prices are on Friday? Didn't say anything on the website.

Probably won't be able to make it since I am working in the afternoon so I can get the night off(TGR!). Looking like Sunday is going to be the day. Might hike today to dull the jones.

I don't have $35 to spend on limited terrain. I think we will head to Powder MTN on Sat. and maybe Solitude or Alta on Sunday. Anyone want to meet up?

I actually might be there tomorrow (Thursday). Ya, I know only dinky stuff is open, but my GF is leavin' town on Friday so it's the only chance we got to ski together for a bit. I'll likely be there over the weekend sometime too.
I'd hike LCC but I have ZERO BC stuff, hehe. And I have no snow/avy knowledge too! So it's the Brighton rat-race for me! :)

Definately skinning/hiking for my turns. I've heard that Pow Mow has had a fair bit of snow this week. Anyone want to join me?

It does appear that Brighton decided to open Snake Creek a day early:

I wouldn't worry though; the same groomers available off Snake today will be there tomorrow. Going off-trail on such a small base would be a bit dangerous to body and equipment. Too many rocks, logs and stumps in the area. And I've got the gouges in my base from last year to prove it. :D

Make that 16 cars in about a half hour. I thought we could hold out till tomorrow, but it looks like the jones is gonna get the better of the wife and I. Will post pics and a report when we return. :)

Well, today was my first day of lift-served turns and was it ever fun. Brighton had Snake Creek, Majestic and the bunny hill open. They had Crest Express running all day, so hopefully it'll be open soon.
SNOW: Very nice. Lots of powder to be found everywhere and I didn't hit a single rock, even when venturing briefly into the trees. Thigh to waist deep in some of the better tree shots.
PARK: For the jibbers, they had 5 rails and funboxes set up. No jumps set up as of yet.
CROWD: Minimal. Only three rows of cars in the parking lot meant lots of freshies.
A couple pictures:

Cool, what time? I'll be meeting up with the crew around 1 PM at the base of Snake Creek.
