Anyone know the length on a front wheel BMX 9mm quick-release skewer?
I need to replace two fork-mount bike rack quick-release skewers, and the BMX 9mm q/r's are cheap. Just wondering if they're long enough to use for a bike rack.

I don't think I've ever seen a BMX hub use quick releases.

I haven't either, but I don't know much about BMX bikes. I found this on ebay though:

It looks a lot like the worn-out 9mm skewers on Mrs. C.'s truck bed bike rack.
woo - any idea what the front axle length is on a BMX bike? If they're the same 100mm dropout spacing as on road and mountain bikes, this should work.

A quick measurement of my bmx fork reads ~100mm (There's a wheel on it, so it's hard to be real precise.) I think pretty much all bikes that have a 9mm axle use a 100mm spacing.

100mm is correct.

Thanks - the cheap ebay skewers seem like they will work then.
