This is career related. Kind of.

I'm applying to a graduate program for the fall. It's a small program and they hand-pick their students. I emailed the guy asking for information, and he told me to email him my CV and statement of goals. I haven't written a resume since, well, 4 years ago, and I just kept adding to it over the years... but a couple months ago my laptop toook a shit and I lost everything (yeah, I know, I'm an idiot for not backing it up). So now I've got to write a cv and make it sound GOOD.

Any tips/suggestions/advice?

Cheers.

Get a copy of someone else with a good one, and imitate the form they use. Make sure to describe what you've done in a way that's impressive but not embellished, and really think about what you've done and been responsible for--it's easy to overlook stuff.

Make sure to leave out the part about skipping classes for a week and a half to go skiing. :D
