Not wanting to deal with Sunday I-70 traffic, we scrapped our plans to ride the Keystone area and instead drove north to Curt Gowdy State Park. For those of you who haven't been up there, you're doing yourself a disservice. Make the drive (1.5 hrs from north Denver Metro) and have fun... the trails offer a huge range of terrain and difficulty, and there's something for everyone. Oh, and its not crowded either- when we pulled into the main parking lot, there were THREE other cars there- we saw two other groups all day long.

Here are a few pictures from the day:

Wow, that looks pretty fun. What kind of riding, XC type stuff mostly?

Yep, mostly XC with some pretty tech features built in here and there. There's a "play area" just east of Crystal Reservoir that has a handful of decent drops (10-12'), wall rides, and step ups too.

I'm just here to say the Snowy Range sucks and to ask if smmokan meant 10-12 inches or feet. If the latter, that's a real big play area.

I meant feet. :)

That looks pretty sweet. Kind of Hartman's-esque to my eye.

Wait, how many cars are usually there?

Shit, if I pulled in and saw 3 cars, I'd be bummed.
