JH Carpool Thread

I know a lot of people are planning on driving to the Summit and a lot of people are looking for rides, so please coordinate here. It'll help keep the random summit threads to a minimum.

Need ride from SLC on the 7th. If anyone is planning on going from the Snowbird Big Mt. comp to the summitt, let me know. I can supply money for gas, a meal at Denny's, and beer once we cross the UT state line.

Not sure what your budget is but United has a New Years fare for the time you want to go. $182 roundtrip from Denver. You might want to check that out. Close to gas money at that price. At least for my vehicle. I was planning on going the 3-7th but the rest of my crew bailed on me for the moment. Maybe a last minute decision to go.

It would be cool if you could join the roadtrip. A flight kind of takes the fun out of a road trip. You can't blaze up on the plane! Plus I would I have to buy a ski bag. Thanks for the tip though. I appreciate it. :smile:

You must get pretty shitty gas mileage. Here are my calcs:

Denver to Teton Village:
538.62 miles

Approx. 23 miles per gallon @ $2.13 per gallon (premium).

Approx. Price for Gas: 1077.24 miles / 23 miles per gallon = 46.84 gallons x $2.13 = $99.78

Raleigh to Vail : 1728 miles
Vail to SLC : 403 miles
SLC to Jackson : 272 miles
Jackson to Breckenridge via SLC : 675 miles
Breckenridge to Raleigh, NC : 1700 miles
Total driving : 4778 miles / 23 miles per gallon = 207.73 gallons x $2.00 = $415.47

At least gas is cheap in the midwest. Anyone need a ride?

Delta (from Expedia) has $211 round trip tickets BOS-SLC and $373 round trip BOS-IDA for the dates you mentioned above.

I might be heading out to Jackson later this week,I'll have to decide after my Accupuncture appointment on Monday. My rehab on a torn calf muscle is going slower than I hoped.
