Was just watching Oliver Stone's WallStreet and I was thinking how much I would enjoy seeing a remake of this with modern technology and concepts, considering how much has occurred in the past 25 years. How about you?

That worked out better than I expected, the TGR gods have answered. Except Shia Lebouf is an asshole.

Eh, after watching the trailer it looks 'okay.' I am talking more straight-up I-banking, Private Equity, Hedge Fund, M&A stuff. Imagine what Gray's Anatomy is for female med-school interns, then apply that to straight out of B-School looking to work 80 hours a week type people. That's the audience I would like to see it focused on. None of this, will he or won't he get the boss's not-so-good-looking-daughter with a bit of business thrown in on the side to complicate things.

Terminator 1 or Commando. Digital Arnold would be pretty sick. He could probably rack up at least 500 kills and 250 one-liners in Commando Redux. Who would replace Alyssa Milano and play the daughter? I'd like to possibly see Jules from Superbad take on that feat. Endless possibilities when the governor is involved.

I'd like to see more original screenplays and less remakes/sequels.

ditto.

Although a remake of the Dirt Bike Kid would be awesome. The remake should have rampant nudity and violence though.

Not remade, but somehow re-released in IMAX 3d:

Star Wars
The Matrix
Judgement Day
Saving Private Ryan
Fight Club
Black Hawk Down

And Fear and Loathing

Primer with Christopher Nolan directing. While I'm a big fan of the original, it's a film that would benefit from a remake much longer in length and with a budget greater than $10k.

That brings up a good distinction that I didn't include. I didn't necessarily mean literally an actual sequel, more of a "what move would you like to see based upon a similar topic". For example Pocahontas, Avatar. More or less a remake, but far better.

That was one of the most confusing movies ever made. Techno/engineering geeks should not make movies. Time travel in carboard boxes, pfft.

Easy Rider redone with Ashton Kucher and Sean William Scott
Princess Bride with Brangelina
Ghostbusters with the frat pack
Lock Stock and @ smoking barrels redone with all midget cast except for Big Chris who would be played by a 14 year old kid

A movie spent on arguments pertaining to the font on pitch books won't bring in the $.
