It all started with me getting sick of mountain biking with people everywhere. I am sure whitefish is no where near colorado in this regard but i like to mountain bike for the adventure as much as anything. Chicks jogging with their dogs has its ups, but it kinda takes something away and turns the climbing into work out for me.

Well anyway I stumbled across a ride that supposedly brings you to a great vista of Tally Lake. So this is my mission.

Day one (this really should have only been a one day thing I am guessing) I spent driving all over the wilderness area looking for road 351a.

Its funny how you end up where you haver already been. finaly after a half a tank of gas, I said fuck it were riding the Pig Farm. To stick with my need for adventure I decided to take every turn I have never took.

We cam across a primitive temple of some sort?

In my defense the directions i found on the internet were ass backwards. After some research I found 351a and some how managed to convince someone to go with me and get lost this time.

So maybe this trail does exist.

Well back to car, there was still one trail unexplored...... Hopefully the next post has some of those vista shots I have been looking for.

nice. If that's the trail I'm thinking it is, its on my to-do list. I've also recently discovered the Bill Creek trail over in that general area. If you haven't ridden it, its awesome.

...I am heading up there for labor day. Can't wait.

I feel ya....the maze of FS roads up there is quite ...um...interesting to navigate.

What kinda shape is Spencer in?

Its been a week or two since I've been there, but last I checked - ridiculously good. Apparently they're going to be logging it at some point, so get your riding in there while it lasts.
