the ohiopyle falls is in the ohiopyle state park in southwestern pa, the falls are on teh yough river. the falls are usually illegal to run except for one day a year hence the over the falls fest.

it is a pretty straight up waterfall nothing much to it except paddling up to the edge and off.

I learned to paddle on the Yough...good times.

The falls fest is a good time unless you wanna drop. Last time I was there they were charging something like $50 a head just to drop it. Looks like fun, but I'm not sure it's fifty dollars fun.

the last i remember they were charging $50 to run the falls.........there are plenty other waterfalls that are just as much fun in the area to run that are legal all the time and free.

however, there are a ton of people around spectators and other boaters making the falls fest a lot of fun. the money does go to a pretty good cause, american whitewater and the local volunteer fire department so its not all bad.
