Fly to SLC or Jackson - Summit Related

I'm looking at flights so I can get my arse to Jackson for the flight. It's about $250 more to fly into Jackson. Do I drop the dough? ...or fly into SLC, in which I'd need to find a ride? I figure even buying gas and food, I still save money.

Things to consider:

Fly into Jackson - get to stay the final Saturday night and party

Fly into SLC - possible half day at Alta on first Saturday

It would probably make more sense to fly into Idaho Falls or SLC if you don't mind the drive time. There are also shuttles that I've heard aren't a bad way to go if you cant find a ride. SLC-Jackson Buses (http://www.jacksonholealltrans.com/jacksonholebus/)

Considering food, gas, time, and hassle factor I usually consider the break even point between flying in and out of Jackson and SLC to be $200. So at a $250 savings SLC might be the better way to go.

My motto with travel is the fewer moving parts, the better. Additionally, maybe it is just my bad luck, but whenever I try to nickel and dime things, shit goes bad.

The other place you might consider flying into is Idaho Falls. I think Jackson is around a two hour drive from there.
