I have some X Wave 8s that are about 3 years old. Got a killer deal on them I couldn't pass up. The problem is they are starting to pack out and I need new liners. They are also not as stiff as I would like. Here are my questions:

1. Will the addition of Intuitions improve performance (these aren't the stiffest to begin with)?
2. Will I have any problems getting the liners to fit in these shells (I assume not)
3. Which liner is best. I know the Power Wraps have a great maggot following, but are they too stiff for the boot.

Any input is appreciated. I need to pull the trigger on these quick. Also if anyone has any minty 28.0s that have not been baked I would be down. Thanks.

1. Yup. Will also make them lighter. Add a booster strap for ultimate 'aahhh'
2. I've got powerwraps in my x wave 10s. They fit fine
3. What's 'too stiff?' You said yours aren't the stiffest to begin with. They will make them stiffer. I've never used anything else but I do like the powerwraps.

Thanks bro. Looks like I am on the right track. Now to find a pair. Looks like TGR used to get a great deal, but now it is 15% off retail (still good).

i just put intuitions in my impact 10s, which i think is the next generation of xwaves, and i have not had the best luck getting them to work. the liners are much bigger than the stock liners and i had to move buckles around and it still isnt dialed in. im actually considering going back to the packed out stock liners....

If you feel your Xwave 8's are too soft, maybe you should ditch them altogether.

I have a pair of Xwave 8's and I too packed-out the liner on. However, I tried a pair of Atomic RT CS/FR's and found the flex (which is admittedly firmer at a 100-index) to be much more progressive than the Xwave 8's, which kinda capitulated and went into a regressive rate past a certain point.

Thanks for the replies. Inuition power wraps it is. Like ripzalot now I just need to find out the size. Rob and Crystal recommended 29.0. But what if I can't bake them right away? Will they be unusable unless they are baked?

just make sure that the shell is not too big to start with. the liner will just pack out to the bigger shell shape in a few days, and then feel too big also

5-15mm shell fit is what you are looking for.

plus what everyone else said is bang on.
