I'm about to head off to val d'isere (france) for a season and am looking for a one ski quiver to sort me for anything the season will throw at me, and i cant decide between the volkl bridge (92 under foot) and the line blend (100 under foot). I'm very comfortable all over the mountain and want to ski it all, esp the park. my last pair of skis were dynastar trouble makers (which i unfortunately broke) and i'm now looking for a more versatile ski.
I also cant decide on length. Im 5'7, 170lbs. my trouble makers were 165 which i feel is too short for what im looking for. i had great fun on some ninthward firstbloods 180, but cant decide if that would be too long?
any thoughts as to what might best suit me?

I have time on both skis, and I'd vote for the Line Blend. Fatter, less sidecut, and more stable in variable conditions than the Bridge. The Bridge has a huge shovel, which makes it more likely to hook in the crud.

Did you really just say that? You're going to Val d'isere and you're most stoked about the park? Maybe you should post this on newschoolers.com.
Anyway...about your question. The bridge is a little stiffer throughout with a kind of softish tail compared to the rest of the ski. It is pretty versatle, but definitely does better in less deep snow. The blend is wider so you will get more float out of it in the softer snow, and a more stable landing platform. I would go with the blend personally. It has a more durable base and more durable edges. It is also overall a more fun and versatile ski than the bridge.
