I agree, although they do make me feel better about taking hard falls. I figure whatever falls I take on the trail can't even be close to falling straight on your face on asphalt with no helmet on.....and then getting up and doing it again

I still don't understand how these guys get as good as they are without dieing or becoming paralyzed in the process. I think it involves riding your bike 40+ hours/week for about 10 years or so.
