I bought my kid a 14" bike 2 weeks ago and the little rager has already shredded the tire through on the rear wheel. I swear the compound that they used to make this tire is softer than chewing gum. I have checked performance and bicycle village and even cursed at the guy at toysrus for selling the bike and not the tire to back it up.

I found one on ebay that is $6 but $35 shipping, for a tire? its canada, fuck them too ;)

So if anyone has a lead on 14" tires, help a brother's kid out. Poor corben is not happy and constantly reminding me that we need to find a tire for his bike. Like father like son I guess. My new UST tire is sympathically loosing air every night.

If you can't find a 14" tire, buy a whole new 12" wheel with tire and tube from a shop that deals through J&B. Last I checked they were like $11 wholesale. A 2" smaller rear wheel will be no difference. Also J&B might sell a 14" tire.

You're positive it's not a 16"?

we don't have J&B out here. I have a 12" bike, but putting that on the bike would chopper it out, as well as fuck up the whole training wheel scenario. It sucks he is getting close to dropping the training wheels at only 3 and half.

Kidwoo, yeah positive. They are rare, but corben was getting too big for the 12" bike and the 16" was too big. Found 14" bikes at toysrus and walmart. I can't believe this is so hard to find.

Go to your local bike shop and ask them to order J&B part # 59977. If they won't/can't several of us here can get it for you.

he is fuggin uber rad. He is slaying full tilt down the street, rarely if ever touching a training wheel down, if anything i think those things are getting in the way.

ps. z, i am going to be in your hood next weekend, i'll be in touch, you should come visit us at the campground for some shenanigans.

edit: thanks for those links guys. I am going to call huffy in the morning and see if i can get some from them or guilt them into hooking me up, the bike is just 2 weeks old

hell yeah, doing some high country riding fo' sho'. Wildflowers in full effect yet or did we miss the prime?

update on the tires. I called Huffy and complained, they are sending me 2 new ones under warranty, but i am sure they will wear just as fast. Gotta teach this kid to feather his brakes.
