Just got on board this train and tried them for some tours and I must say they are pretty sweet.
Every feel the need to be switching like this very frequently?
Looks like they only made one model?

Since I can't put my skins on without taking off my skis, I don't see what good it would do me.

eh, not really necesarry
just do the rambo move
and if you do want to do something like this, id think it would be easier to just fit one on the end of your pole somehow, like a small piece of bent sheet metal you fasten to the top of your pole grip.
wyowill, if you have any flat runouts or traverses mid descent, its helpful to be able to kick and glide a little rather than shuffle.

No.
More specifically, I often go on a tour that ends in a long flat nordic trail/road. Depending on conditions, sometimes kick/glide is faster than skating. Exiting the binding, rotating the heel to tour mode, reentering the binding, and putting the toe lever in tour mode takes less time than typing this sentence just took (seriously).
Even though I do encounter some easy pitches eventually, skiing along a gentle speed with the binding in tour mode is fine.

Nice retrofit, but it raises the level of the medium heel post setting, and I like it where it is. And, as Jonathan S observes, it's not necessary. When I hit low angle stuff at the end of tour, I ski in touring mode, Nordic style. I skied 1000' of verts yesterday in touring mode -- no prob cuz I was in a Nordic state of mind.
