i might be heading to malaysia on a school exchange next summer. Since skiing won't really be an option down there i'll be lookin to do some surfing hopefully. has anyone been there? where is the best surf? is summer a good season for it?

i will be on the island of penang (northerm part of west malaysia http://www.abcmalaysia.com/maps/wmsia_map.htm). Any info on surf any where around there would be fuckin awesome.

i've been to singapore and malaysia.
quieter water i have not seen.
pretty humid too.
pirates out there as well.
you can't chew gum in singapore.
