Hello fellow riders,
I am in the market for some new sticks.
I have riding CO for 13 years and am about to move to SLC, and I'm thinking Alta will now be my home mountain. With that being said, I've looked into the Katana's by Vokl and they look sweet, other than that what other recomendations can you give me?

Height?
Weight?
What's does "expert" mean?
What kind of skier are you?
What do you like to ski?
Resort specific ski?
Powder ski?
All mountain ski?

etc, etc, etc.

I recommend talking a look at the stickied thread titled "Recommended Skis and Bindings List" and providing more relevant information. Or, simply buy what's on sale. It's all the same anyway.

I've been using random friends ski's....volkl Karma's and salomon Scratch's and Dynastar enforcer's....they were all nice but would like to have a little more width under the foot for floatation. It seem's clear from my reading that two pairs of ski's are needed, one pair for all mountain riding and one pair of powder specific, if there is a ski out there that is in between then that's the one I want. If not, I will just go for the best all mountain ski. I like to ride steeps and deep snow. 6 feet 165lbs. I've been skiing since I was 2 and have 8 years of competitive mogul skiing in there as well.... just have been to broke the last several years to pay attention to what is now available on the market. Thanks for your help....:)

x2 except maybe the 186 carbon, and you'll only need 1 pair plus some rock skis. And kudos for the slut moniker which has so far let you avoid the dreaded search JONG berating.
