Has anyone used the POC Receptor Bug Helmet? How is the ventilation and safety?

Just picked up one last week. I got an XL, which fits good out of the box, but after a week skiing I probably need a Large. Ventalation is a little different from what I have had in the past, but it seems to keep the air flowing well. Safety wise, it's the most secure feeling helmet I have worn. I had the Bern Baker and the Giro G10 before. Nice and light weight, only knock is I wish the goggle clip was higher on the back of the lid. Hope this helps...

My question is this...

POC says that the Bug is their winter specific one, although they also say the the Receptor is an all season (including wakeboarding) helmet. Is there really anything special about the BUG that will make it not function in water?

The only thing maybe is that you can't remove the ear flaps, and it doesn't come with water specific ones.
