Surfing in OR

So I'm going down to the sand dunes for the weekend and was thinking of doing some surfing at Agate beach and getting rentals at Newport. Now I'm a surfing Jong only been twice in westport and once in hawaii.

I can kinda get up sometines, he.. Anyway wondering if my plan is good or not or if there is better places around that area..

Short Sands is the best if youre a beginner, just for the scenery and the experience. Indian Head is good, its where they shot the last scene of Point Break.

Never been to Agate, its all kinda the same out there though. No matter where you go. Rent a very warm wetsuit if the north winds are blowing. Because thats when the water is really cold.

But it sounds like you already went....how was it?
