This is the one ski that I need to fill out my quiver. I have Sugar Daddy's for pow touring, but need something lighter / smaller for spring turns and schlepping in the E. Sierra's for multday trips. Thinking about putting Dynafits on these for max light weight.

Like Yoss's call of 177cm R:ex's. Others I'm thinking of are:

K2 Shucksan/World Piste 181cm.

Anything else people use for a lightweight touring ski that can still ski the corn/hard pack? Anyone skied the Shucksan / World Piste? Would prefer something a little fatter than the 78mm underfoot of those, but they would be alright.

Movement Evolution
116/80/40, comes in 170, 177, 184 length

Movent Evolution Super Light - same dim. but lighter construction (and more expensive)

Movement Red Apple 74 (just 74 underfoot, still o.k. for corn snow but lighter) 114/74/104 in 178/184

Voelkl Snow Wolf (similar to Red Apple)

Those are the ones I am looking into right now for same purpose, would not go with the Dynafit binder though. Just my 0.02.

Guess why I am looking into those.

Haven't skied them myself yet but know people who did and really praise them. They're said to be sturdy but light weight, exactly what I want.

Skied the K2 Shuksan a little - know a lot of people who swear by it. It skied fatter than it looks....if that makes sense? I've seen it around for cheap, think last years model had some changes made to it, stiffer?

Never considered ++movement++ for randonee but now I'm interested too
I'll be off for a few days (back in one week) but maybe in these days I'll have the chance to have a red apple in hand :D
