Tracker Beacon:&nbsp; The easiest digital beacon to use.&nbsp; I have had one since they first came out over 10 years ago.<br />

Buy a Pieps DSP, they are far superior.

I think the tracker is great. My feeling with beacons is if you have one that works for you then rock it. They have all evolved quite a bit recently, mostly as a result of BCA's efforts, so you should do good with most anything new on the market. I personally have been super happy with this one though.

Well - you sold me!!

Seriously - elaborate a bit. I know the range is better with the DSP - what else?

I hardly ever tour with more than three in a group, so multi isn't all that important. I've been using Trackers for over a decade and am looking at something different - namely the Pulse or the S1.

The DSP has a third antenna to eliminate nulls/spikes while pinpointing.
The DSP also has a victim count indicator and a masking feature -- reliability has improved over various firmware upgrades, although still not perfect.

The Pulse and S1 have even more impressive multi features, along with radically different user interfaces -- both from more traditional designs and from each other.
The details are . . . detailed. See WildSnow.com for upcoming reviews...
