Why does Cliff Huckable care so much about US politics?
Is it because he is Canadian and wishes his birthright was south of the border?
Is it because the US probably owns half of Canadian companies anyway (cute how they put that maple leaf on the McDonals sign to passify you isn't it)?
Does he secretly wish we sent a few or our special forces over the border to single-handedly take on the whole Canadian military and take over the country?
Or is Canada so insignificant in the real scheme of things that he has to concentrate on someplace that matters?
We know you have trees and probably supply the vast majority of toilet paper to North America. Can't you just hang on to your country's tiny victories.
Are you just pissed that Canadian oil is sold to the US for cheaper than they sell it to Canadians?
I really am stumped here. Why does Cliff care so much about us poor evil Americans?

Ever watch the news in Canada? 1/2 the coverage is about whats happening down south. Most Canadians are pretty well tuned in to whats happening in America. Its like the little brother who knows everything about his big brother, yet the big brother doesn't even know the little guy exists.
The other things is Canadians fancy themselves as a more progressive society than America and take every opportunity they can to throw pot shots at American culture and American politics; especially the media.
In reality, Canadians have more in common with Americans than they'd like to admit and I think that scares some of them, so they tend to go off about the differences to make sure the rest of the world sees them as different. Notice the maple leaf patch most Canadians sport while traveling abroad.
Cliff may seem like a rabble rouser around here, but his views are pretty typical Canadian so give him a break or ask him WTF the story is with Steven Harper:fm:

No, his views are typical Lib/NDP Canadian. There are plenty of us who are not obsessed with the States and don't feel the need to criticize it, which is why it pisses me off that Cliff is such a giant douche that people feel the need to create stupid threads like this one. :nonono2:

Cliff's views are pretty typical for where I live, but then again, I live in Whistler. Alberta really should become the 51st state.

Cliff claims to have lived lots of places, but I believe he's somewhere around Vancouver. Something tells me he lets his bong do the talking most of the time.

Yeah, I wouldn't consider Whistler to be representative of most of Canada, in the same way I don't think maggots should take Cliff to be representative of most Canadians.

As a Canadian living in the US and having read many of Cliff's posts, this thread and everyone's comments made me laugh, but that's probably just reflection of my mood today since I think most political happenings in general, both north and south of the border, are pretty frustrating and not a laughing matter. And I actually miss Tim Horton's, believe or not, it's comforting and signifies a piece of home for me.
Cliff has recently started posting that he is "part American" don't you know?
Although someone needs to explain to the idiot that you are either American, have dual/multiple citizenship, or you aren't American.

I'd take Alberta as the 51st state...All that oil and Banff too. Plus my cousins up there would be happy, they've been talking secession since the 70's. Not a bad gain for us!

Technically, both Canadians and Mexicans are "American" in that they all live in North America :fm:

I didn't realize "American" is an ethnicity since most Americans tend to say they're Irish, Italian or where ever their ancestors happened to come from.
Maybe it is now? Cliff, whats the story?

Bah! They say that Harper is in bed with Bush, that is why he is bad.
So their premier is a puppet of a puppet...?
How about Alberta turns south, AK goes solo and quebec rows back to France?

Perfect.
That gives us oil, disqualifies Palin and her hubby and gets rid of those annoying Quebecois.

The question is why the people who voted for Bush (and will probably vote for McCain/crazy AK reporter woman) don't care about the U.S.

Actually if you read the question carefully that really was not the question posed here. However I'm sure if you search you can find all sorts of threads about that since most of the TGR sheep have your political leanings.

If I read the above carefully, I can in fact see that said question was in fact actually and exactly raised here. However, I'm sure if you post another thread, you can ask whatever dumbassed question you like, and people will ridicule, hijack, or ignore it just as much.

On top of a cardboard box. Spare us your tales of wealth and fame - nobody will believe it or care anyway.
But you care that you can't figure out how to use emoticons?

No wealth or fame to speak of..... not what I meant.
But I really think they turned my emoticons off. I used to use them all the time. Somebody with strange internet powers over the TGR server must like me as much as you do.

Dex - seriously bro - get a life. Really. Have you ever posted anything that didn't have at least some mention of the evil Republicunts and that asshole George Bush?
If Cliff isn't a 16 year old posting from his parent's basement, I'll eat one of my boots.

You know with the US divided 50/50 if any province in Canada became the 51st state then Canadians would then control the world. That new state would single handedly elect the president, would single handedly tip the balances of congress, and would single handedly change every major issue that is hanging in the balance. I wouldn't mind giving up that control for BC or AB but any other province wouldn't be worth it (especially not fucking Quebec).

Fortunately your days never came. Your inane 'ideas' and responses are almost amusing, though.
Seriously - I could see Dexie going to a restaurant and launching into some profanity laden diatribe about how GWB is personally out to ruin his pathetic life when the waiter comes to take his order. Then somebody calls the cops and they drag him back to his "quiet room".
I like to kid around with a lot of people here, but I'm seriously convinced that Dex pretty much has absolutely no life at all. Srsly.

First magot to find a post of Dex's where he doesn't mention anything about politics gets a free VanHalen 1984 vinyl LP.
Here's some Wig Wham Bam for you droogies in the meantime:

Nope. He makes a comment about a GWB sticker on a subie. That's honestly the most memorable part of that TR.
I'll even throw in some strawberry Twizzlers. You guys like Twizzlers??

So dipshit is still obsessed with me, huh? I see him posting after me all the time, just hard to believe he's so far gone.
And yeah, all the TR's I've posted are about politics. What a maroon.

Yeah, but probably half of Jer's posts are about me, and the other half just say 'padded room, librodouche.' So really he only has about two real posts.

Goodonya, dumbass. You only had to go back THREE AND A HALF YEARS to find something that you weren't blabbing about politics on?Sorry, bro - you're gonna have to do better than that to get the LP. And I ate all the Twizzlers.
And I will freely admit that I'm somewhat fascinated by you. In the same way I'm somewhat fascinated buy the guy pshing a shopping cart down the street while yelling and gesticulating wildly at nobody.
Wow. 3 1/2 years.:rolleyes2
