Someone please convincingly tell me how energy relates to national security.
Energy policy would not have prevented jets from slamming into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. McCain and Palin shift to energy policy when getting questions about national security.

Other than the later question about whether McCain "thinks he has a chance at winning Maine"... I don't think McCain really answered a single question in that clip!
Bravo for someone in the news finally willing to ask these even AVERAGE difficult questions!

Clearly this is the man I want in the White House. One who can boldly slather the truth with such a blackwash of unremittant balderdash that it stuns the sun and blots out gravity.

Cheney knew a lot about energy too.

I've heard both of them repeat this whopper several times now... Think it would be funny for a reporter to actually ask Palin some REAL questions about the specifics of energy policy; production, distribution, pollution... My guess is, unless it deals with anything she had to talk about when she was the figurehead of the Alaska Energy Commission (or whatever?), she'll be clueless on the energy subject too.

the funny thing about Palin's energy credentials.....she doesnt have any. that pipeline she brings up in her speechs is ATLEAST 20 years away. her only energy "experience" is that she's pro-drilling in a state with a decent amount of oil in the ground.

That's correct. The attacks occurred not because of where we get much of our energy (oil) from, but rather because the jihadist that are Islamofascists have an ultimate goal of destroying the western world...and denying all political and religious freedoms.
However, it would be nice if we got off of the middle east oil addiction...which would certainly result in far less of our money flowing over to those bastards.
Actually, the "goal" of the "Islamofascists" is to have the U.S. remove our troops from their region.
So... are the Republicans REALLY claiming that if Palin becomes VP, her obviously immense knowledge of energy will stop all terrorism in it's tracks??? Really???

It sure is nice to know the next time we are under enemy attack that McCain and Palin will have a good energy plan to protect us;)
WTF, that was the worst interview of a presidential candidate I have ever seen, and that includes GWB's interviews. The man appears to be borderline senile.

That's just ONE of their goals, but certainly not the ultimate objective.
and what exactly is this "ultimate" objective then? baking cookies?

Um, yeah, Israel has something to do with it too.
Anywho, Palin and McCain have been making me a happy man the last couple days, if they can continue giving such revealing interviews as they have, I expect the the post convention/Palin bump will level out nicely, long before the election. It's a great day to be alive.
I wonder how many times they can repeat the same flow away from the questions chart before it sounds like a broken record to the disenfranchised women who jumped at Palin.

She is governer of a state that is next to russia THEREFORE she understands Russia and its agressive behavior. Seriously, that is not even logic. Do they really honestly expect that to fly?

OK, I see I could have been clearer... Their stated "goal" REGARDS THE U.S. is to have the U.S. remove our troops from their region. As the discussion started regards their attack on the U.S., I didn't clarify as well as I usually like to.
And yes, it is only one of their, I'll call it three?, stated goals.
Happy? :p

Goddamn Gook TM McCain/Palin 08 dentists...... they'd just drill, drill drill TM McCain/Palin 08.
As a result of the heroic service TM McCain/Palin 08 for his nation and the fact he can't lift his arms that high Cindy has to help him floss with lengths of tug boat dock line.
