It turns out that there are good and bad aspects of having a long career in congress, you get to make a record for yourself.

John McCain scores a 100 this year and 88 rating lifetime (out of 100) for resisting earmarks.
Barrack Obama scored a 10% this year and 18% lifetime.
Joe Biden scored ZERO percent this year and 22% lifetime. Zero! You've got to be kidding me. He voted for every single bill with an earmark for spending?!? Is that even possible? Both democrat and republican bills?!
So when McCain says he'll veto any bill with add on spending/earmark/pork barrel legislation/whatever you want to call it, I'm tending to believe him.
