I am comming from the complete oppisite direction on the Iraq issue. I am an X Millitary Republican and at the time we invaded I thought it WAS FUVKIN STUPID. However once you go in and tear up a country in the middle east, YOU HAVE TO SEE IT THROUG till the end. 5 Year of we need to get out. Is more fucked-up than removing Sadam in the first place.
Bush -1 Point for doing it.
Bush -1 Point for letting Rummy fuck-up the peace when he had others who know better telling him the right way to do it.
DEMs -1 For going along in the first place!
DEMs -1 For advocating puplicly to Quit and leave when it got tought
But they talked a real beig show for politics but never really did anything to change the staus quo

Revisting historical records is always so enlightening....
Nothing there that can't be obfuscated and blamed on the current administration. Aside from that, Biden excepted, Obama's current ticket was against the war. Too bad he wasn't an elected Senator at the time. He wasn't privy to the intelligence reports or other briefings that persuaded his current colleagues to support it. I wonder how he would have voted had he actually been there. Unfortunately, we'll never know. Since he was against the surge, I would surmise he may have voted against the original proclamation but it's just a guess. Politics (and politicians) are always fun to watch.

He wasn't privy to the doctored/politicized/cheneyed/OSP'd/now completely discredited intelligence reports or other briefings that persuaded his current colleagues to support it.
Fixed it for you.

Fixed it for you.
Cheney was busy raking in millions at Haliburton when most of those reports were generated. Aside from that, the intelligence was supported independently through the British and the Russians. I seriously don't believe Dick and Vlad had a 'thing' going on.
