so i got a sweet at set up
10exs 191 w/ dIIs on em lowfat skins cut to fit etc. light as hell & a great set up a lot of you are familiar with.
only been out a few times & honestly its too much ski for my needs.
my lowas can't drive that ski the way I want & well I would love a shorter set up
so I should sell/swap them.

thing is I compressed the edge on the atomics the first year I had them when they were mounted alpine. I freaked @ the time but evoloution fixed them & its been an outside edge for 1 & 1/2 seasons with no problem. only way you can tell is the edge is split where it compressed.

so would anyone buy this set up? I of course would never hide the damage

I would tour a lot more with a different set up & the coming seson is going to provide me with a lot of opportunities for some great lift acceseed bc & bc in general

any advice appreciated

Price it right and it'll sell.

You know the formula: 50% of MSRP, minus 10% for each year since it was new, minus 10% for the damage. Same formula for the binder. Knock of another 10% for the bro factor and it'll sell quick.

Yeh, I think plenty of peep would buy them for $100

$1000 new rig
$500 minus 50%
$300 minus 10% for each year old (2)
$200 minus 10% for damage
$100 brah discount

Or is it a non-linear f(x)

$1000 new rig
$500 minus 50%
$400 minus 10% for each year old
$360 minus 10% for damage
$324 brah discount

I think I need after class help on the formula

I figgered the second, but it's only a rule of thumb. I didn't make it up-- mntlion uses this formula as do most consignment dealers, with adjustments made for bulk purchases.

You could also run it separately on the ski and the binding, since the binding ostensibly has no damage.

By running the formula, you arrive at a benchmark price that most people would consider fair-- in the ballpark of $330, but don't forget-- we didn't factor the skins into the deal either.

The seller is at his leisure to set any price he wants, and, depending on who's looking, might get far more than that, or be willing to accept substantially lower from "family."

In this case, if d-day can squeeze $350 out of solid gear he doesn't use and put it towards a new touring rig, he'd be stoked. If I were looking for a touring rig that large, I'd also be stoked to get into it for less than four bills.

Why Phoggy, you looking to unload yours also? ;)

Yep, the 191 R:EXs are on the block. They've already been spoken for. According to that formula, a Jackson magg is getting a pair a of $258 dollar skis for $200.
