I went to the Big Shoulders 5K swim in Chicago on Saturday and the t-shirts given to the competitors featured a picture of Obama wearing swim goggles! I thought it was a cool shirt, but I guess lots of people weren't happy. I sort of feel like if the shirt had McCain I probably wouldn't wear it, but I wouldn't be upset about it. Hell, it's an event t-shirt, most of the time they suck. Anyway, probably a bad call by the meet director. Why do something to piss off a good part of the competitors?
Here's the shirt. I thought you guys would get a kick out of it.

I'd drown the organizer, and then ask for my money back.

Cool shirt, but bad move on the race director's part.

I have a couple of new guns to scope in. If anyone has a few extra Obama shirts, they would make great targets.

That shirt is pretty tasteless and incredibly inconsiderate.
I would say the same if it was any other candidate with a robotic clan following.

Do you really think the people voting for Obama are like robots? Or is that just something you heard and are now repeating it? I don't really care if you use it but I do think it makes little sense. If anything the McCain followers are more like robots...especially when they mimic him.

In my opinion this post on the US Masters swimming forum summed it up pretty well: http://forums.usms.org/showpost.php?p=152030&postcount=69
