I guess it's good to be fabulously wealthy and married to a powerful politician with one hell of a prenup. Can't hate a girl for that...

I don't think that's the point though. McSame and his wife are claiming to be regular people by suggesting that owning oodles of houses and wearing $300K outfits...get my drift? They're not really average joes nor were they ever raised as such. BO has attained his rather modest wealth (comparitively) on his own and is a success story...one that people can relate too...much like how the addition of Palin to the GOP ticket helps with this image. Come on man!

No, but you can hate them for doing that while at the same time accusing the opposition of being elitist and 'east coast'.

I'm amazed but I have no problem with it as long as it wasn't campaign money that purchased it (I'm sure it was donated by the designer).

Just shows the haves and the have nots.......

Seems like alot for an outfit that looked like it came from "Ross"

The fact that her outfit was worth more than the annual income of 90+% of American families certainly displays a disconnection from the realities of most people's lives.

Designers just give a lot of shit to people in the limelight to help promote their product. It's not unlike giving free skis/bindings/clothes/etc to professional athletes. I thought this was common knowledge?

For the record... $280K of that $300K was her 3-carat earrings. Baby got bling.

Most of the $ in that 'outfit' is blown out of proportion with the estimate on the price of a pair of 3 karat earrings being the bulk of the cost. A $2500 designer dress is out of reach for most people, but it certainly is a special occasion worthy of your best. Also, that's not 'expensive' for someone of her means, and certainly not as costly as designer clothes can be.

She probably didn't even buy the dress, as designers fall over themselves to put their wares on famous people and dream of dressing the next Jackie O.

Anyone that is fooled into thinking the McCain family is 'just like them' and votes because of that belief deserves the economic mess that would be coming their way if he wins.

Fixed it for you

I don't think that's the point though. McSame and his wife are claiming to be regular people by suggesting that owning oodles of houses and wearing $300K outfits...get my drift? They're not really average joes nor were they ever raised as such. BO has attained his rather modest wealth (comparitively) on his own and wants to make sure you can't attain it...one that people can have attained but he's willing to take away from them. Come on man raising taxes at 250K is ludicrous

The only problem I have with Cindy is that her family made all that money selling Budweiser. It's not even good beer. If they made it selling microbrews, and gave kick backs in six packs, I could get behind it.

I think the more they keep her off the tele the better; she is the polar opposite of what they are trying to attract with Palin.

C'mon dude...A 30 second internet search garnered me these prices...you (should) know damn well that the colors and clarities you are offering are slightly sub-par.

Assbush - now you just need to get that message out to 150,000,000 more people and Obama's a shoe-in.

That foot shot of Cindy creeps me out. What are those skin grafts or something?

(I'm sure it was donated by the designer).

$300,000 would be several serious couture pieces. I think it very unlikely that any designer would "donate" that.
Couture pieces are collected by women like Cindy the way their husbands collect art. I don't doubt that she owns them.

EDIT: Now that I've seen the pics...hmm, that doesn't look like $300,000...but conservative design is conservative design. Definitely an American designer...which is be obvious, given the context.
