So, what would happen? Would Huckabee be the GOP candidate? Would it be up to the delegates to decide (I assume this) who would proceed in his place? Would the Palin choice be reconsidered?

Have either of you seen a substantive, unscripted interview with Palin related to national interests?

The GOP should bite the bullet, and give Obama a shot.

He's not dead yet?

To answer your question, the GOP would appoint a candidate and they would lose because they wouldn't have enough runway to field a decent campaign.

Who's McCain? Was that the old dude that was at the Sarah Palin Convention?

No, but I would love to see one, the nation needs a good laugh after the conventions.

Why do people think McCain's camp is keeping her away from the press? Because they know she will sail the Failboat.

You should take me up on the Pres. Election bet. You sound pretty confidant.

Listen - I like her about as much a Obama (as far as qualifications go anyway). But I also think Obama and the press underestimated her in a HUGE way. I really think the ass-kicking (by Palin) has just begun.

Which national interests?

This is all I have at the moment, but I'm sure you could find something more specific to your question via the link.

How fukked would we be if we drained AK and didn't develop our alternative energy sources - and then got cut off by the Middle East?

Wouldn't take long for people to beg for a real war for oil.

Is that not pretty much what happened when Bobby Kennedy was shot? I guess even if he was out front he wasn't officially declared the candidate yet was he. Anyone know the details of how that transpired. (I think I was 8).
