This is a question for those who live near the upper penn. of michigan/wisconsin.

How hard is jackson hole compared to the hills near the boarder(powder horn-blackjack-indian head-porckies-bohemia). I am just looking for someone who has skied the midwest and jackson hole to ask questions to.

I am confident that I can ski at J H but am unsure if the easy runs at jackson will be too hard for my mom and sister.

thanks

I've been to all of the areas you mentioned. If your mom and sister can ski halfway decent, there is plenty of stuff to keep them entertained, and If they have ever skied at Bohemia, they will be fine at JH.

JH is an awsome mountain, with terrain that all of us here dream about, but they have plenty of the stuff that makes moms and gapers happy too.

They'll be fine. Apres-vous and most of the lower mountain is easy enough.

There's plenty of cattracks for them to bail to if something looks "too hard."

I taught at JH for 8 years. It has the best beginner area than any other mountain I've ever been to.

As 13 said, Apres-vous is easy and it's a bigger area than any mountain in the MidWest.

The rest of the Mountain is fucking HUGE! So go there for the asthetics alone.
