It's been a while. But I promised to scan some of last winter's stoke...took a while, the kid (2month old girl!:)) has been keeping me busy.

Well, this place ain't Chamonix but there ain't no crowds either.

Because I'm not that fluent with (English) words I'll let the pictures do the talking. Hope you guys and girls enjoy!

First some scenery pics:

Yo, J!! Nice stuff.
Are those 4x4 Big Pintails you have? If so, what length?

Nope. Those are some skinny-ass Dynastar 4x4 verticals (or something like that)...one client's skis. The guy skied pow on them with ease. (Ok, the snow was not that deep but anyway...)

In general, the snow situation was really interesting this year. The wind packed good amount of snow to couloirs and trees while some open places were almost totally bald (as you can see from some of the pics).

The wind usually plays a huge role to the snow situation in the Tatras anyways, as the lee sides can have nice layer while (usually very strong) wind scrapes the snow off from the other side. This year the wind stayed N/W for about a month, so the same stashes kept hiding all the snow for a long time, restricting us from some of the lines but at the same time kind of eased the route decision making...:) And the locals only check the slopes and some routes just on the side of the slopes, so with a bit of hiking we usually got all the goods by ourselves!
