We have all these great drainages with trails up them, but none of them are connected. Many of them are rarely used by anyone.
Think of a ride up Days Fork to where the trail ends in the upper basin. Then add a few switchbacks to the ridgeline. Follow the ridgeline from Flagstaff around and past Silver Fork, over to Grizzly, over to Catherines, then down Catherines to Brighton.
Riding in the Wasatch could be so much better with minimal improvements or additions to what already exists. It has so much potential that isn't being realized. Perhaps because the trend is shuttle rides, or chairlifts. But we could have some kick ass XC rides with a little effort and organization.
Anyone have any interest in possibly persuing this?
It would be good for the environment, as we wouldn't have to drive to PC in the summer to escape the heat.

I agree have you ridden up cathrines pass to great western trail yet? then taken into American Fork. Another one that should be on your list. I totally agree there shouldnt be as tough as everyone thinks to make some great singletrack thats fun to ride and actually goes somewhere on the west side of the range,
I have interest, you would probably want someone well versed in trail building. I am not back in utah till winter time though...

This isn't true...there is a trail that drops from West Bowl via Silver Fork into Days. Used to ride it as a loop via Milly at Brighton....over to Highway to Heaven to West Bowl. There is some hike a bike, but not that much. The decent into Days is steeeep, but it is nice. The BCC locals called the ride the Bonkers.
If you start at Days, ride the road to the Silver Fork cabins and there is trail all the way to the Brighton circle. If you want to add, you can mix in some Solitude single track to Brighton on the way up.
