Um, as far as I've seen, TGR isn't exactly overflowing with modesty, whether to the left or to the right of the centrist jellyfish position. I see conservatives calling liberals idiots quite often (tell me you haven't at least thought so), while at the same time calling them arrogant. :rolleyes2 Cry me a river you pansy. Personally I don't think that conservatives lack intelligence, I think there often is a lack of moral integrity. The conservative platforms tend to appeal to people's self interest, while liberalism appeals to people's compassion, but disregards the interests of individuals (which is not so much immoral as impractical).

I actually think that both things are valuable in proper proportion. Government should no more be guided solely by interest in the individual, than it is by interest in societal health. One cannot exist with disregard for the other.
