anybody have experience with this? I put in about 190 psi and next day i'm at about 170...
seal kit? if so is it easy to do(i.e. can my local shop manage it), if not do they offer loaners while it's being rebuilt...?
it's less than a year old, but they say on the website that seals are part of normal wear and tear.
Pretty irritated with this, it's a fucking expensive shock to be failing at 9 months old...

You'll loose somewhere around 20psi when you connect your pump back to the shock. The air in the shock fills the tube between the shock and the gage on the pump resulting in a loss of pressure.

I notice on mine when I'm 20lbs under, so if you're not noticing the loss, when bouncing on the bike you probably don't need to be trying to pump the shock every time.

You're sure it's actually losing pressure over time, and the pressure loss is not just from it perssurizing your shock pump when you screw the pump back on? ie, if you leave it for 2 days, does it drop to 150 psi etc?

edit: nate is quicker.

But even if you have to replace the seals, a seal kit is like $8 on fox website.

as others have mentioned, it loses about 15-20psi when you disconnect the pump
its probably that

No it shouldn't loose much when you disconnect the pump. It looses the pressure when you reconnect the pump.

The reading on your guage before you disconnect it should fairly accurately reflect the pressure that remains in the shock.
