Caught a little bit on TMC on a Hitchcock exert, that was explaining the whole bit of HD TV. That most of the films produced after 1950 or so were made in the wide mode, after filming the guy in the editing booth would essentially move the clip over the pre-determined size and edit out the rest. They had some interesting examples like Ben Hur when there where actually four horses and only two show up in the movie.
Not quite sure I dig the new HD's and pretty damn sure I can't afford them but I question being shorted on every film.
And you????
