Yeah I know. I currently have a big bike and 5 inch bike, looking to sell both and get a 6ish bike or so. Looking for something for Moab, and the occasional lift served day but just an all around bike. I have no intentions of going HUDGE. I'm ok with something around 36 lbs or so because then I have an excuse to go uphill slowly, but it should be reasonably durable. Price is a concern so the cheaper the better. Used would be nice. So far what I am thinking is,
Iron Horse 6 point
Santa Cruz Nomad
Kona Coilair
Giant Reign X
Lighter build Yeti AS-X.
Anyone have anything they're selling or any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Sheppy.

The Kona or Giant would be good for the cheaper price point. (Complete bike) Building a Santa Cruz and/or Yeti could get up there in price. Unless you find deals on used parts. Your not really going to gain much if you go from a 5" bike to a 6". A 7" will give you better lift served runs but it will be on the heavier side for climbing. Your 5" bike would be a better choice money wise. Depending on what kind of 5" bike you have, build it up with better parts (up grade). It sounds like you have good bike handling skills and a 5" bike would be your cheaper alternative.

the giant reign x friggen rules. choke slam just got one and it is a super fun bike.
obviously the nomad/6point are sweet bikes too, but the frames will be close to the cost of a built reign x.

Reign X is hard to beat for the performance and price.
