Two good bands I recently "discovered."

Les Savy Fav's new album "Lets Stay Friends" is really good, as is The Mountain Goats' "Tallahassee."

Let's Stay Friends is a fantastic album, check out Cat and the Cobra next for a younger and more vigorous Les Savy Fav.

As far as Talahassee goes, I always thought that part of the charm of Mountain Goats was all the tape hiss and general lo-fi sound, and ever since he changed his tack on recordings it just hasn't been the same.

All of their albums are great but Rome is my favorite.
