i was at snowbird for a week, and i headed into the shop to get my boots worked on and they recommended the zip fit over the intuition. The Intuition liners apparently pack out much faster than the zip fits, any werd

I haven't found that to be the case. I've never used Zip-fit, but in my experience, Intuitions don't really pack out at all.

My intuitions definitely packed out from initial baking, which was a good thing as it created a better heel pocket. I expect them to last a good long while from here... probably ~50-70 days and then re-baking should get another 50 out of them.

Zipfits ARE pretty indestructable, but they also weigh a ton and I find the lace-up annoying. They are also not variable in the amount of volume they take up (which is a lot of volume) so they will fit differently than an Intuition which takes up exactly the volume you allow it. I couldn't fit a zipfit in a close fitting shell, but could fit an intuition.

I used Zip-Fits this year, they are the stiffest liner I could find, however, mine didn't hold up well, the liner tongue cracked and leaks gel/glue shit everywhere. I've never used intuition and would be interested in giving them a try, which brand is stiffer? Also I have had trouble contacting Zip-Fit direct, anyone know how to contact them for warranty issues? Sam e for intuition.

surprise a shop that sell zip fits was telling you that they were better than intuition...

FYI I have seen that shop sell zipfits to people who bought kryptons with intuition liners.

They should last longer on several fronts and can be reheated repeatedly. Down side is they are sort of designed for guys with super skinny feet or overly large shells and the creator isn't to open to changing that approach. You can make them fit usually just don't buy the 'one minute fit' line.

can't comment on zip-fits, but i wanted to add my experience here.

flip, i find that intuitions last about 300 days overall, broken down as ~120 days on first baking, ~100 days on 2nd baking, and they're done after about 80 on 3rd baking. your mileage may vary slightly...but i'm at about 290 on my most recent pair (purchase feb '06) and they are just about done.

Zipfits come in three if not four different thicknesses to accomodate many different shell volumes. Thinnest is plug, thickest is called classic. I have a really skinny lower leg and love the lace up feature. I understand that many folks remove the laces after initial fitting. This is easily done from what i can tell. i tried intuition in my at boots a couple of years ago and it wasn't good with my skinny legs. I gave them to a friend who put them in tele boots and loves them. They are both great ,though very different products.

FWIW i have gotten 300-400 days out of conformable foam liners, and after only about 75ish on the intuitions, they are getting close to be needing the trash can. so packed out its not even funny.

The zipfits come in 3 different lasts(widths) with 2 versions (one for touring) of the biggest last. Each smaller last is approximately 20% less volume than the last above it and each has approximately 20% less moldable material (C4) in the liner. Problem is generally there seems to be too much material in each liner for the foot/boot it is designed to fit with especially over the instep. They can generally be made to fit but the effort that takes kind of goes against the point of the thing. More material can be injected in so it seems it would be easier to put less material in each one and simply add more as necessary. My efforts to convince the designers of them didn't get far as did most of my efforts to get people out and skiing in them.
