Got the noodle pontoons for the soft days but need something burlier for those choppy bumpy crud days.

I intend to SAC the LPs (176 or 186) or XXLs (186) tomorrow. Birthday suit weight of 140 lbs. Pretty solid technique, some billy-goating and working up. CRB 3-pin bindings.

Which one should I get and which length? TIA.

If you have Pontoons, I'd go with the regular LPs. As for length... I dunno. I'd say 180 if they made it. I'd probably go shorter for versatility's sake.

At that weight you'd better have some damn strong technique so you can back up the flex on the LP's. I'd go with the shorter LP's (186), again, just because you can't go everywhere with 194's. XXL's might be a bit awkward for tele, but I'd suggest a 187 if you choose them.

I hear that the XXLs are softer than the LPs, so they shouldn't be too awkward for tele. Are you saying awkward due to width?

I am thinking either 176 regular LPs or 186 XXL.

I have the 176 Legend Pros and I love that ski. I hope they have the 187 xxl on SAC tomarrow but I would be suprised if they did. I am 5'8" and 190 just for reffrence on the 176.

Yes.

And the XXL's only come in 187 :D

109 too wide? The pontoons are 130 waist, so that shouldn't be a problem.
