Tickets are steep, but seems like a good way to celebrate our country's founding. The venue looks pretty cool, although I am not sure exactly where in Michigan this might be.

Lineup is very solid, at least in my opinion. Acts that got me (but not necessarily you) excited: Panic, Phil & Friends, Snoop Dogg, Emmitt Nershi Band, Keller and the WMDs, Franti, Railroad Earth, TLG, Trucks & Tedeschi, YMSB w/ Jon Fishman.

Fortunately/unfortunately, I'll be in India at the time, but I figured that this might get the Midwest mags fired up.

I shall be there. The venue is awesome and the lineup doesn't suck either.

hmmm i usually visit family in Michigan every May/June... may have to alter that this year. and yes... that part of Michigan is damn beautiful that time of year. It's no Upper Peninsula, bu it definitely ain't too shabby...

Little bump for this one. The wife and I are there. Should be a good time. We were all ready to by bonnaroo tix again unil we heard about this. I'm thinking it's gonna be a much better venue than roo, and hopefully it won't be so damn hot.

Bastards.

Bonaroo decides to expand = High Sierra gets mostly sloppy seconds. Thanks a lot.

And is it just me, or is Franti just getting plain retarded with the touring this summer?

I've been listening to it live all day today online. Near the end of Phil Lesh and Friends now. Saw Primus earlier and other good stuff. It's been on the whole time. Not all stages but selected sets. Good show.

OK, 45 minutes later, time for the encore. There is a maggot playing in one of the bands at this festival, Greensky Bluegrass, if their info is up to date. Goes by Seldom Seen here.

STS9 on now.
