Warm, late afternoons in August throwing hoppers against a cut-bank to waiting browns.
So many caddis swarming around you it feels like it's snowing.
That fist gulp of a cold beer out of the cooler when you get back to the truck.
When the cast feels just right and the fly lands exactly where you want it to.
Seeing the strike indicator sink when drifting a Hare's Ear on a slow fishing day.
you?

I have caught myself daydreaming about fishing lately as our renewal powder has slowed slightly. I agree with your list but will add a few:
Fall fishing with some snow in the air and Browns chasing big streamers
Getting back to New England on my buddies boat on Long Island Sound, chasing the birds and bass boils
Road tripping through Idaho, Wyoming and Montana chasing bugs and fish
Fishing the caddis hatch past dusk and still catching them on dries in complete darkness
Day of skiing corn in the morning and fishing in the afternoon
I could go on all day!

Any rod will do. Spinning or fly. I love the pop as they suck the lure or fly down, and it is ON!!!!

..Away from the outline of a town/city, basking in the sunshine of a Spring day...off/on/in the water.... ....but this--> "That fi[r]st gulp of a cold beer out of the cooler when back at the truck/suv" = a definite standard to judge all else by!;-) ...Make it ~5pm...
Tribs to northern Maine(& other NE) rivers @beginning of either Hendrickson or Stonefly hatch, when I'm not paddling or sightseein'....

- wild summer steelhead+surface flies
- fall colors in the morning on lake erie tribs
- first jump of a 12-15 lb saltwater coho
- the unseen grab fishing deep in the salt
- warm, sunny, and windless spring day 40 miles offshore fishing halibut
- acres of seabirds feeding on bait
- black rockfish coming fully out of the water going after a popper

* Battling a smallmouth on light fly tackle all afternoon in Maine.
* The midnight surfcasting shitshow of 4 guys, 4 fly rods, 300 bluefish and no pliers or boga grips.
* The Holy Fucking Shit of a bluefin blitz in August near the boat.
* The alarming rate at which the first beer disappears after a long day of hiking, wading, and fishing.
* Again, topwater of any type for bass.
* Casting to bonefish.
* The feeling of making a 2nd perfect presentation to a permit on the flats, which will not happen again for 20 years or so.
