so that i might act as a conduit for all things positive about maggot/minionhood, let it be said and let it be done. there shall be a first-ever micro summit, held this friday in the barn where i live. yes, it's an urban barn. bring your own rope if you wish to swing from the rafters or from either of the huge steel rails which extend out of the building through the twenty-foot tall doors and out over the back alley.

all are welcome, including:

-the drunken bar patrons leaving walnut street (most frequently abercrombie & fitch types and/or their barbie doll-esque counterparts) who stumble past the open basement doors at 1am, notice the bar because of the christmas lights or prominently displayed redbull light, and end up offering to pay me some bucks for a drink or two. ladies, i've said it before and i'll say it again... ditch that zero and get with this hero.

-the beggars and street-people who regularly stop in to ask me for for spare change, but end up staying for a beer or three. save the lame excuses about needing some bus fare, or having to get a meal in your stomachs. the doors are open to everybody regardless of income, housing or any other sort of status.

-anybody else who can make it out, including "internet message board people".

highlights shall include, but will not be limited to: yuengling on tap in the kegulator, a fully-stocked bar, a talking dartboard and possibly a game or ten of beruit if the proper motivation presents itself.

the barn is located in shadyside, a beautiful neighborhood located in the east end of pittsburgh- which is a wonderful city located on the western side of the commonwealth of pennsylvania.

if necessary, pm me for further details.

mini-summit? pshaw! don't miss this chance to take part in history, the first-ever MICRO summit.

nice scenery over there most nights, even if it's not the most efficient place to drinky-drinky. bandito, are you familiar with the area?

Sounds like a sweet setup you got there.

My wife grew up on Devonshire Ave, so I have spent many hours strolling through Shadyside. Very nice area.

I like the 'Burgh quite a bit. Love the local accent. My wife throws out a "Yinz goin' Dawn Tawn?" every once in a while. Rabid Stillers fan, she is.

When?

this friday evening, most likely starting around happy-hour and continuing until whenever. to be honest, this kind of behavior is pretty much standard operating procedure most fridays.

during these turbulent times here at the tgr forums i felt it would be meaningful to demonstrate some hospitality and such, even if nobody can actually make it.

bump.

i didn't think that holding the first-ever MICRO summit would be an easy task, but i'm going to keep working hard to make this happen.

dedication, people.

it's about dedication, and about the love. it's all about good weather on a friday evening, making questionable judgements and some good old-fashioned problem-drinking.

How many maggots do we got in the area? Are there enough to really hold a micro summit, or is it going to be like three people and a few street bums?

bad_roo - just noticed you're now "TGR's cicada." As someone who is anticipating the cicada onslaught any day now, I don't see how someone who has 2039 posts (when I typed this - who nows how many you've added while I'm typing) can compare themselves to a bug that comes out of the ground once every 17 years.
