'08 Volkl Mantras - Already Bent?

I already (slightly) bent my brand new Mantras -- anyone else have this problem? I have the 191s, and I'm a 6' / 185lb ex-racer. Seems like these things should hold up better than this. Bent after 6 days? Did I get a bad pair or is this an issue for other people?

Volkls Occasionally bend, Unfortunately that Is a fact of life. Warranty is a possibility because it is the 08

The Mantras sweet/solid feel comes from a full length layer of METAL. It will bend.

Already?? Shit, ya got 6 days out of 'em..... If you do it right, you can bend them on your first run.

Metal skis bend. It isn't unique to Mantra's or even Volkls. They will warranty them.

I have a pair of 07 mantras that I noticed were bent at the beginning of this year. Is there any hope for a warranty replacement for me?

I snapped one ski completely in half at about 12 inches back from the tip....broke the Ti and Wood all the way across. Yes it is a metal ski and yes it will bend/break!

FYI...I sent them in within the 12 month warranty and they said it was my fault....they only replaced the one ski with one from another pair of warranty skis (already drilled).

Be careful. My buddy tried to bend back one ski of a pair of Volkls and broke it.
