Light skis, solid bindings. Great touring setup.

I have 193 Pimps and NX21's for touring and really like the setup. It's reasonably light, floats well, and can handle pretty much anything I'd do in the backcountry. However, I don't them it at all for in-bounds skiing.

I exploded the naxos that we on my bros just before a 4 day backcountry trip a week ago. Crashidy (god bless him) lent me his old touring setup, freerides on sugars.
They were pretty good in the BC, I had no complaints on the descent. Skied lots of deep pow, which they were really responsive in. They have a lot of pop to them and were great to bounce around in. Did a lot of cliffs/pillows in them and didn't have a problem.
Uphill, naxos are far superior to freerides. Downhill, freerides are stiffer and easier to throw around. The sugars did great for the 1 resort day we had and were super stable at high speeds. You'll like them.
Oh, I'm 6'3 and 150# if that helps.

I've got a good friend with that set-up that has yet to be mounted. How did you mount the NX21 in sugar daddies? Just wondering the best approach. Thanks

I found that dukes mount right to the base plate but with the naxos I had to grind a little on the plkate it's self. u could mount it straight to the ski if u wanted. id rather have that base plate that fits the ski.

At least for Downhill Performance there gona be hard to beat.
I've got Heli-Daddys with Nx21s - same as the sugars but with no twin-tip and i love em. The don't have the plate on em which is nice.

I have Teledaddy's with freerides, similar set up that works very well.
