seriously. i know this isnt news to anyone who knows about the skulls and the bones. and maybe its because this was shot down the block. and maybe i like irony a little too much. but this is the best video of all time, and basom's anthem of 2007.

is diplo still creating beats for her?
her stuff was super-political (well, more social than political). heard about her through the diplo connection and saw her at an in-store in SF years ago.

Pirate skulls and bones
Sticks and stones and weed and bombs

It grows pretty quick, this is my first listen for the song from the (woman/group/band)
I liked the fourth listen a lot more. Might send it to some friends.
Any other songs you like? I didn't dig Bird Flu all that much and not too sure about Sunshowers. Maybe...

This is my favorite tune from the new album, yes, and I wish they just used the gun shots for the beats. :)
Not really understanding the hype on the rest of the album though. Its a mish-mash in my opinion.

$20 is pretty solid too.
Hey, it's the Clash's "Straight to Hell" under there... pretty cool usage. Haven't heard this tune before.
diplo has a skull rocking Mad Descent podcast on ITunes, #18, that pretty much starts with this track and rolls for the whole hour.
highly recommended.
and yes, MIA boosts.

I really like KALA much better than her debut, personally. I find it richer and more streamlined.

i was surprised you didn't use "fiznuck" in that somewhat overwrought review there dookey.

that's cuz i've relegated the use of "fiznuck" solely to my posts on the TGR boards.

The biggest disappointment of the year (music-wise) was finding out the US government wouldn't give her a visa for her slot at Sasquatch. I was so bummed to not see her.
piracy funds terrorism is hot, if ya don't have it get it.

I wish I had seen this thread before breakfast on Monday; I would totally have gotten this for you (it was on sale at Porter Sq. Books).
To your point, though: yes. She is totally the coolest, I like this album, and I'm glad that she didn't get to come to the US to make the Timbaland-dominated album that was originally intended. There are enough of those already.
This song is catchy to quite catchy. CHA CHING

I don't care if she did or not, as long as she keeps dressing super-awesomely.

kala's better than aurular. paper planes is on the radio non stop, but since i'm cool and got this the day it came out back in august, i'm sick of it.
bamboo banga is the best song on the album.

She's coming to the Depot in SLC May 18th. Anybody wanna catch the show?
paper planes is pretty much the best pre/post spring skiing song evah. driving to/away from the mountain. suns out. guns out. windows down, hands cocked. bang bang bang.
I've listened to album so much that I'm sick of it... except for 20 Dollar and Mango Pickle which are totally super awesome still.
Come Around is pretty tight also.

Just got back from the show. Holy Fuck! It was awesome. I've been to LOTS of shows in my life and this one was quite possibly THE loudest show I've ever been to.

If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name"
Kinda ironic, huh?
