This is an amazing story. Guy is refinishing a sailboat. The boat has been through 3 owners, built originally in 1981, never finished, traveled over 2000 miles by land, and has never touched the water. This guy is refinishing her, the right way. Really cool story of love and addiction.

I once heard a saying
the two happiest day of a sailors life is when he gets a new boat, and when he gets rid of this said boat

Living up to your name. I once heard a saying... it went something like- STFUYFM. Has a nice ring to it.
Sorry, I meant to say- I never heard that before Jongtastic. Mind if I use it?

Since we are spouting cliches anyway, I will say that that guy has forgotten more about boats than I'll ever know.
I would love to see what he could do with a wooden boat.
That transom modification was really impressive, though. This summer I might try to check this thing out. He is right near our summer house in CT.
