So, your thinking about buying a drilled pair of boards, but seller says
"I dont know what Boot Sole Length ("BSL") they were drilled for"
Here's the thread that has the data that you need.
Will update with more info if you shop techs can add more detail.

The general rule will be to measure from the furthest rearward PAIR of toe holes to the furthest forward Pair of Heel holes
(ignore any single center mounted screws)

Also general rule will be to measure from centers of screw holes.

Salomon Bindings ==>> BSL = Distance between toe and heel holes plus 55mm

Fritschi Freeride Large ==>> BSL = (2 times the Distance from front screws to Boot Center on Ski) plus 300mm

Hopefully folks find this useful. I already have.
"Solly plus 55" is an easy one to remember.

Good idea. The only question I have is hard to put in writing so I made a shitty paintbrush picture not to scale. When you say c to c on the screw holes, are you measuring like the red line or like the blue line?

yeah, not so clear.

try this cheezy diagram (nothing but ms paint on this computer)

this is a digram of a ski with Salomon holes for a 916 worm screw heel.

It is basically rearmost toe holes to frontmost heel holes.

(Plus 55mm, since its a salomon)

You might have thought I was trying to ID which brand of binding a set of mystery holes is for.
I didn't want to do the "which binding is this" data - only the idea of "I know its a Solly, but what BSL was it mounted for?"

bump since this came up in another thread.

wanted to see if anyone else can add more data to this.

If we stay consistent from rear holes of toe to front holes of heel track, it should not be that hard to figure out.

If someone with a shop jig can get the data for the most common mounts that would be sweet.

Looks, rossis, jester/griffon, tyrolia/head, etc.

Duke/Barron would also be nice (yes, I know they are adustable, but you want to know where the boot center will be if you re-mount the skis)

rossi fks with plastic upward release toe (they may or may not have the same pattern as the metal toes, i am not sure) - BSL is distance between front heel holes to back toe holes measured from the centre of each hole + 99mm

I just measured my unmounted skis. dont have a jig.
