Garywayne 2013 Review
$14.95
When not having access to sleds or helicopters we often have to take quite a long climb to get to the most favourable spots on the mountain. For this particular day we picked a spectacular steep coloir on the north-face of the warther-horn. Our guide told us it would be accessible through a small hole on the opposite side of the mountain (Gamsloch). In the early morning we begun our ascend around the southern-face. after a four and a half hour climb through deep powder, rocks and another steep coloir, we reached to a point only 15 meters away from the hole through which we could clearly see the sky of the other side. But sadly the conditions did not allow us to get over there, just a few steps away from our goal we had to accept that it's a part of the game, part of the freeride experience - we would not be able to ride there. Nonetheless we had a great day in the perfect weather with wonderful view and the still fresh, untouched powder on the southern descend. Next year we'll come back and rip it!
