Too stoked for words so I turned to a dictionary entry (albeit modified slightly)….
Passion (from Latin verb patior meaning to suffer or to endure) is an emotion applied to a very strong feeling about a person (eg: SETH & THE GOOD FOLKS BEHIND TGR!!) or thing (eg: SKIING!!). Passion is an intense emotion compelling feeling (eg: STOKE!!), enthusiasm (eg: WHOOOO!!), or desire for something (eg: POW!!). The term is also often applied to a lively or eager interest in or admiration for a proposal (eg: CATSKIING!!!), cause (eg: FREEING MY MIND FROM WORK!!), or activity (see: SKIING!!) or love (ALL O’ THE ABOVE). Passion can be expressed as a feeling of unusual excitement (eg: SHAKING IN MY BOOTS), enthusiasm or compelling emotion towards a subject (eg: AIR), idea (eg: DUCK THE ROPE?), person (eg: A LIFTEE), or object (eg: MY BOARDS). A person is said to have a passion for something when he/she has a strong positive affinity for it. A love for something and a passion for something are often used synonymously. LOVE+PASSION=SKIING.
