POC's LIVIN' THE DREAM CONTEST
If you could go "Further" and ride or ski one dream line with Jeremy Jones: What would it be? What POC helmet and goggle would you wear?
In 200 words or less and (optionally) with a photo, tell us about your dream line and what POC helmet and goggle you would rock for a chance to win a Grand Prize package that includes a 156 Hovercraft Jones Snowboard, your choice of a POC helmet and goggle, and a personal voicemail greeting from Jeremy himself. Second and Third Place prizes of a POC helmet and a POC goggle, respectively, will be awarded to the two runner-ups. The top 10 entries with the most Facebook "Likes" will be given to Jeremy Jones, who will pick the final winners. This contest ends March 4, 2012 at 11:59 PM MST. This is easy and the run I’d want to ride with Jeremy Jones is the west couloir on Mount Valpy above the Gitnadoix River south of the Skeena near Terrace, British Columbia. Not only have the mountains in this area seen very little to no traffic from a human powered perspective, it is likely that this mountain has never seen ski or board let alone more than a few ascents. John Clarke of famous Canadian mountaineering status has the first ascent from just 20 years previous. This is truly a rugged area that I want to explore. The mountain is spectacular and would offer more than 7000ft of vertical to near sea level of which some 4000ft would be ridiculously fun. But we wouldn’t just tag this and run away as there are so many other options nearby….
I’d sport a green Synapsis 2.0 helmet because of its use of ultra-light materials paired with blue Iris X goggles because of the frequent flat light we get here on the North Coast. I’d choose the Iris X because of the claim that it will never fog which when in the backcountry can be so troublesome. Can’t wait for the call.

Alaska is my dream. It is like no other. My dream line with Jeremy Jones would be to ride the SPHINX in the Chugach Range.
Jim Rippey has the first descent on this, Kreitler has stomped this (in 14 turns in hear), and it seems to be off the map now (due to permitting perhaps).
The face is insane, about 2000 vertical feet of AK bliss. Spiny, rutty, exposed, with a crevas at the end.
Sphinx is seen by many who come to AK, but ridden by few. Jeremy, have you ridden this peak? If we can't ride this one, I will let you choose your favorite. I am ready for the call.
Just dreaming...
(see pic attached of Kent Kreitler on Sphinx)
Q: What POC helmet and goggle would you rock?
A: Goggle: Iris X (green)
Lid: Receptor BUG Backe ed. (white)

POW loads and loads of Pow on a steep chute deep within the Alps in Japan. So deep the only way to get there id on foot. Perfect weather, blue sky, bright sun, right after a huge storm. Floating through the pow and soaring through the air off of a cliff will all be in by dream line. On my dream line, dream gear. Nothing but the finest POC Iris X with blue mirror lenses all on a Receptor Backcountry MIPS helmet. Now tat is my DREAM LINE.

My dream line would consist of the most epic pillows in all of Alaska, down the most extravagent peak with not a single tree for miles. I would be rocking my murdered out black Lobes and the RECEPTOR COMMUNICATION blaring my Dub and screaming at the top of my lungs... cause life couldn't get any better!

A helicopter to bring me to Any remote mountain high enough for a billion of great, swooping, swishing, youhooping turns will do just fine! And when hitting the bottom I would turn around and..Ah! enjoy my line. All black Lobes (because I expect it to be really sunny), and the receptor backcountry helmet for a perfect fit and a cool look and a safe head.
And Oh, yes, If Jeremy wants to come with, he would have to wait for his turn. But don't ask me to go the Antarctica, let's keep that last resort of nature to nature.

As much as I’d love to ride Squawlpine with Jeremy my dream line would be up in Alaska. I’ve never had a chance to go to Alaska and Jeremy showing me one of his favorite peaks would be an experience of a lifetime. Nothing is satisfying unless you earn it, and spending a day hiking to the top of a prime peak would make the ride down that much more satisfying. You gotta take that tense moment right before you drop to enjoy the scenery and what’s around you before crushing down the face. Hitting it hard on a blue bird day would be amazing, and with Jeremy I would have to go big mountain status. The waist deep fresh splashing up my face probably wouldn’t be able to hide the ear to ear grin I would have the whole ride down. As much as I love my POC Receptor + a nice new Receptor Backcountry MIPS with some Lobes would make me feel safer in the backcountry so I could push it further when I’m out riding deep.
Thanks POC, and thanks Jeremy
Ride hard, ride safe.

I like the idea of sexy spines. It's my speed - not too much air and just the right pitch. With the perfect snow, it could be a dream run for me. It's just really sexy. I think I would have to go with a receptor bug communication helmet with orange Iris x goggles.

If I could go "further" and ski a dream line with Jeremy Jones, it would be a draw between Antarctica in the summer or in Chile. The reason I chose Antarctica in the summer is because the sun doesn't set for 6 fricken months!! Therefore you could be skiing or snowboarding for 24 hours and not even realize it...that's livin' the life! Then again I would want to ski or snowboard a dream line with Jeremy Jones in because, I love South America and the culture. Also I think Chile would be an awesome place to get a sweet goggle tan!!! If I were able to ski one of these two places I would most defiantly want to rock the Skull Comp 2.0 in blue and yellow and the super awesome pink Iris Bug goggles!! As you could probably tell I am a skier not a snowboarder therefore if I on the off chance win, I would either take up snowboarding lessons (which I’ve always wanted to try) or give the 156 Hovercraft Jones Snowboard to some kid who really wants it but can't afford it. Thanks so much "POC ON!" \m/

my perfect ski touring hemet.
I want a helmet super light but (Outer thin layer of carbon fiber, mid layer foam and soft wool liner that is removable) , comfortable, the ear flaps are pose to be strong and durable so if they bent when I pack it in my pack on the way up, have good ventilation so it´s possible to tour with the helmet on and dose not get to hot. the shape of the helmet has to be smooth so it fits well in the backpack.
ventilation around the googles is importan so the googles don´t fog up.
extra ear flaps with head phones speakers and mic with output for av, radio (heli and VHF) and iphone
if you have a radio out put with speakers and mic the ear flaps for the helmet it would be popular with heli ski guides the light ness of it would be for ski tourers and ski alpinists.
the color of the helmets are rasta-green, ferrari-red and Iceland-blue
with green straps straps.
the googles have to have rubber in the band so it sticks better to the helmet
the lenses are three: mirror lens but with a bright colors brown grey, mid mirror lens with blue platinum color and a white out lens I think you guys have somthing
have good ventilation and durable but soft and little bit sticky pads

Dream line has to be Berlin Wall out of Haines, AK. It was Jones' first line in AK, the line that changed his life, and I've wanted it since I first saw it (I believe in one of the TB series from 92 or 93?) It's like one of those lines you've looked at your entire life but never gotten to do. I'd have to rock IrisX goggles in purple, and the Receptor Backcountry MIPS in white, to protect my eyes and brain.

My dream line starts at about 8,000 ft, dropping a chute into a huge pow field, getting 5 or 6 six speed turns, dropping a 20 footer at the bottom, followed by a smooth flowy ride through spaced out trees. I would rock the Frontal Jon Olsson with Green Retinas fsho.

I'd want my dream line to be in Antarctica just like Jeremy Jones did in Deeper. Who would think to ride there?! It proves he goes to the ends of the world for the ultimate line and I want to too! I would wear the receptor BUG Tanner Hall edition cause Tanner Hall is a boss and the Cornea goggles! PICK ME!!

My dream line with Jeremy Jones would be a sweet pillow line in Whistler, BC with massive drops and powder soft enough for Paul Bunyan to wipe his ass with. Actually I have a million dream lines, since I'm stuck at school in Miami and my only choice is to live vicariously through TGR videos, so really I'd settle for anywhere with decent snow and some incline. Basically the opposite of Florida. Needless to say, I'm a bit out of practice, so I'd probably go big and wear the Cortex DH MIPS helmet to keep my face intact and some all-black Lobes to help me avoid trees. Heck, until I get my skills back I'd probably invest in some body armor too. Sweet Jesus, I want to ski so bad...

I would ski Sphinx in Cordova, Alaska. That is just a rad peak, that is 50+ degrees from the top all the way to the valley floor. I would wear my POC Receptor Backcountry which gives me the confidence to charge knowing if I blow up my head is protected as well as it can be. I would rock that with the Lobes all black goggles so I can have a full field of view to keep an eye out for sluff. That is what I want to do.

If I could ride any line with Jeremy Jones it would have to be a run down Cannon Mt in Mittersill. There would have had to been a huge dump the night before, and every run would result in puking powder. I have skied my whole life in the east, and I would have to stay to what I know for a dream run. Wearing a Sinus SL Axel Black, because I ski race, with green POC Lobes would result in the best day ever.

If I was going to shred with the Jeremy Jones on one dream line, I would have to choose the epic mountains in Valdez, Alaska. This is where you can ball out and have the ride of your life. It is a life long dream to rip it up in the last frontier. I live and shred in the murder mitt(Michigan) and need some real mountains. I would have to rock the poc receptor backcountry ya, dig?. One Love.

My dream line with Jeremy is right down the center of Tuckerman's Ravine. Of course I have to keep it in the east where it all starts for the best riders, nothing quite like east coast boiler plate ice. I would be outfitted with POC Receptor Backcountry on me head and a pair of POC All Black Lobes on my face. Jeremy would get some good air launching of the Ice Fall, I would attempt to follow but more than likely will wipe out to the delight of the people taking it all in on the Lunch rocks. Dealing with some of the world’s worst weather and having to hike not only to the ravine but also up the headwall is truly earning your turns.

If I could go “Further” and ride a dream line with Jeremy Jones it would be in Haines Alaska sporting the POC Receptor Backcountry helmet and Cornea goggle. Life is about taking calculated risks. Life is about sharing adventures with friends. Life is about seizing on what makes our skin tingle. My dream is to take a group of young adult cancer survivors to Haines Alaska to ride pow lines with top guides! I know Jeremy would be amazing to guide this trip and share this experience with. Life is about seizing the opportunities to breathe hard making a skin track. Living is the sense of accomplishment getting to the top of a mountain. Full throttle living is then pointing it down the hill ripping powder lines. Most importantly living is sharing the experience with friends, having great big smiles on everyone’s face, and laughing together.

If I could go Further and ride a dream line with Jeremy Jones it would be Mont Forel in Greenland. Greenland is a relatively untouched territory. Mont Forel offers steep exposed faces that can only be described as iconic, making this a prime spot for an adventure. I would pair the Cortex DH MIPS with the Lobes goggles for optimal visibility and the utmost protection on such an exposed line. I am a skier and cant think of someone more knowledgeable and well versed in riding exposed lines than Jeremy. It would be a dream trip in some of the most extreme backcountry on earth. It would take 8-10 days to reach Mont Forel. We would work our way up one of the established routes topping out with many high fives and drop in for the ride of my life. Since I am a skier and not a snowboarder, so I would recommend donating the 156 Hovercraft Snowboard and choice helmet and goggles to the Maine Handicapped Ski/Snowboard program, so that those of us not as fortunate can develop skills and continue to enjoy the mountain lifestyle Jeremy embodies.

My dream Line with Jeremy Jones would have to be in his backyard of Lake Tahoe, on a good snow year. It really would start the day before we even rode a line. Up in the early am, a good breakfast, pack the bags (to include my POC Green Iris X goggles and black Receptor Backcountry MIPS helmet), and out for a nice skin through the backcountry. Once we have found a safe zone to set up camp, unpack, eat lunch and head out to scope out the zone the next day attack. Back to camp, dinner, some brew haha, and lights out. Next morning is predawn wake up, breakfast and pack-up for the day. Once we reach the zone we make our mental notes and then deiced what is the best route to the top of the run. Standing on top of the run it is ready, set, fire. Face shots are many and the spines are sick the run out is sweet. Next I get to see Jones rip his line and the stoke meter is on high. The trip back is fast, the memories deeply imbedded in the brain and another zone crossed off my map.

My dream line would be to catch the first lift ride up to the top of Mary Jane in Winter Park CO and watch below as the powder piles up. We would figure 8 through the glades on powder that piles so high, the 10 ft. Pine trees barely reach our knees. My green Iris X goggles would shield the powder while my Tanner Hull Receptor Bug helmet protected me so that the run would last forever in my brain. We would catch major air after leaving the trees and my thick powder skis would barely keep me above the surface of the snow. After we got to the bottom, we would ride back up and cut through more virgin powder.
